Τα μουσικά βραβεία μετατράπηκαν σε πολιτική διαμαρτυρία κατά της τραμπικής φρενίτιδας • «Δεν είμαστε ζώα, είμαστε άνθρωποι», «Κανείς δεν είναι παράνομος σε κλεμμένη γη».
Από λαμπερή μουσική γιορτή σε πολιτικό βήμα ανοιχτής σύγκρουσης με τον Ντόναλντ Τραμπ και την ICE μετατράπηκαν τα φετινά Grammy, με κορυφαίους καλλιτέχνες να καταγγέλλουν από σκηνής την εντολή του Αμερικανού προέδρου για βίαιη καταστολή πολιτών, στον απόηχο των δολοφονιών της Ρενέ Γκουντ και του Άλεξ Πρέτι από πράκτορες της ομοσπονδιακής αστυνομίας και να αφιερώνουν τα βραβεία τους στους μετανάστες.

O Bad Bunny, ο τραγουδιστής της reggaeton και της latin trap από το Πουέρτο Ρίκο, έγινε την Κυριακή, ο πρώτος καλλιτέχνης που τιμήθηκε με το Grammy για το καλύτερο άλμπουμ της χρονιάς με έναν δίσκο που είναι εξ ολοκλήρου στα ισπανικά. Αφιέρωσε το βραβείο του στους μετανάστες.
Ο 31χρονος Πορτορικάνος κέρδισε συνολικά τρία βραβεία, μεταξύ των οποίων αυτό για το καλύτερο άλμπουμ για τον δίσκο του “Debi Tirar Mas Foros”.
Από τη σκηνή των βραβείων ο Bad Bunny δεν μάσησε τα λόγια του: «Προτού ευχαριστήσω τον Θεό, θα πω έξω η ICE», αναφερόμενος στις δολοφονίες εν ψυχρώ στη Μινεάπολη.
«Δεν είμαστε άγριοι, δεν είμαστε ζώα, δεν είμαστε αλλοδαποί, είμαστε άνθρωποι και είμαστε Αμερικανοί», τόνισε ο Bad Boy, καλώντας τους Αμερικανούς να μην επιτρέψουν να τους «μολύνει» «το μίσος».
Την επόμενη Κυριακή ο Bad Boy έχει ένα ακόμη ραντεβού με τους Αμερικανούς στο ημίχρονο του Super Bowl, του τελικού του πρωταθλήματος του αμερικανικού φούτμπολ.
Την εμφάνισή του αυτή έχουν ήδη επικρίνει οι υποστηρικτές του Τραμπ, οι οποίοι κατηγορούν τον Bad Boy ότι τραγουδά στα ισπανικά και ότι τάχθηκε υπέρ των μεταναστών και της ΛΟΑΤΚΙ+ κοινότητας.
Αμερικανός πολίτης, χάρη στο καθεστώς του Πουέρτο Ρίκο, ο Bad Bunny αποφάσισε ότι η διεθνής περιοδεία του, την οποία ξεκίνησε τον Νοέμβριο, δεν θα περάσει από τις ΗΠΑ για να προστατεύσει τους θεατές του από τυχόν επιδρομές της ICE.
«Έξω η ICE»
Το σύνθημα «Έξω η ICE» έγραφαν οι καρφίτσες που φορούσαν, μεταξύ άλλων, οι τραγουδιστές Kehlani, Τζόνι Μίτσελ και ο Τζάστιν Βέρνον του συγκροτήματος Bon Iver.
Ο Βέρνον σημείωσε ότι φορούσε και σφυρίχτρα ως φόρο τιμής στους Αμερικανούς πολίτες που παρακολουθούν και καταγράφουν τις ενέργειες των ομοσπονδιακών πρακτόρων μετανάστευσης στους δρόμους των ΗΠΑ.
Η Kehlani, που κέρδισε το βραβείο για την καλύτερη R&B παρουσίαση, φώναξε στην ομιλία της «η ICE γ…εται».
Η Μπίλι Άιλις, που κέρδισε το βραβείο για το τραγούδι της χρονιάς με το “Wildflower”, ζήτησε «να συνεχίσουμε να μαχόμαστε, να παίρνουμε τον λόγο και να διαδηλώνουμε. Οι φωνές μας έχουν πραγματικά σημασία και οι άνθρωποι έχουν σημασία».

Γεννημένη από πατέρα Βρετανό και μητέρα με καταγωγή από τη Τζαμάικα και τη Γουιάνα η 26χρονη Βρετανίδα Ολίβια Ντιν, που τιμήθηκε με το Grammy της καλύτερης νέας καλλιτέχνιδας της χρονιάς, χαιρέτισε το «θάρρος» των μεταναστών.
Η SZA, που κέρδισε το βραβείο για την Ηχογράφηση της χρονιάς με το τραγούδι “Luther” μαζί με τον ράπερ Κέντρικ Λαμάρ, προέτρεψε τους Αμερικανούς «να μην απελπίζεστε. Ξέρω ότι ζούμε σε τρομακτικούς καιρούς, αλλά πρέπει να εμπιστευθούμε ο ένας τον άλλον και να εμπιστευθούμε τους εαυτούς μας».
Ο παρουσιαστής της τελετής απονομής των Grammy Τρέβορ Νόα σχολίασε την τρέχουσα πολιτική κατάσταση στις ΗΠΑ λέγοντας ότι «ο νέος εθνικός ύμνος» της χώρας θα πρέπει να γίνει το τραγούδι της ράπερ Doechii “Anxiety” (Άγχος).
